Learning and Teaching with Mobile Technologies
This course engages all students to explore how emerging technologies can be creatively and critically used to promote teaching and learning the 21st century skills necessary for achieving success in today’s world. Topics include understanding the digital generation, learner-centered pedagogies in a digital environment, and use of online tools & mobile apps for teaching/learning.
Digital Literacy
This course introduces all students to the new digital technologies like tablet PCs, smartphones and other digital devices and their affordances. More importantly, it explores how these technologies can shape people and their behaviors particularly in developing the new literacies like media and information literacy, collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, communication, and cultural/social understanding.
E -Learning Design and Development
This course introduces participants to instructional design principles for teaching and learning with digital technology specially focusing on current learning theories that incorporate principles and models of e-learning. It also looks into the opportunities that this emerging technologies present to those who design e-learning, and how these can be leveraged in ways that will help craft effective teaching methods and student learning.
